07.10.08 We're looking for fun and interesting geeks to run panels! Also, Anime showings have been updated.

What is GEEK.KON you ask? Why, it's Madison Wisconsin’s own con for all things geek! Our two-day con is striving to provide a gathering place where all geeks can find their own PG-13 geek fun.

Something new for Geek.kon?

Comet Update - 08/26/08 Well, none of our tools would work on the meteorite, but it's a good thing because no more than an hour after experts were done breaking our diamond-bladed hacksaws and drills on the surface, the whole object *wiggled* and a crack appeared in it! The staff opinions are varied as to what it actually is--a portable volcano, a defunct Russian spy missile, or a message from little green men?--but everyone agrees that it is going to open. It's still almost too hot to touch.

GEEK.KON needs volunteers!

As a free convention, GEEK.KON runs entirely on the efforts of volunteers. We need people to help with all aspects of the convention, so please sign up and be a part of geek history!

Please note, you must be 18 or older to volunteer. This is UW policy.

GEEK.KON's first year was an amazing success! Almost 2,000 geeks showed up, and we even managed to appear on CNN! So now a number of you are famous on national TV!
